'White on White' Painting white and pale colours.

This will be a two day course for those who have painted in watercolour before.

The relaxed atmosphere of the nursery makes an ideal venue for this event.

The course tutor will again be Christine Eldridge, who is always very popular. See below for more details about the course tutor. 

Many of our regular art students have expressed a wish to study painting white and pale coloured flowers so this course will look at this subject in detail. Looking at different ways of painting white or light toned flowers. We will be studying the subtlety of colours & how to make these light tones stand out against the paper. This can be done in different ways: outlining with pencil or watercolour,using the the tones of shadows or creating contrast with the darker shapes of leaves.

Christine Eldridge was born in Sri Lanka. On coming to England she studies at Chelsea School of Art. She has exhibited her flower paintings widely and has been awarded 3 Royal Horticultural Society Silver Medals.

Cost for the two days is £90. This includes morning coffee and biscuits and afternoon tea with homemade cake. Please bring a picnic lunch.
