Flower Painting in Watercolour for Beginners

This flower painting course is suitable for beginners & those with limited experience of the subject; it takes place in a friendly & relaxed atmosphere.

We start with observational drawing, followed by painting in watercolour. The course will help in understanding & using the basic techniques of watercolour which include mixing tones & colours, painting & overlapping washes, wet into wet & brushwork.

You will be able to complete a simple flower painting on your first day, but those of you who feel that you would benefit from a second day are very welcome to join for the weekend.

The course tutor is Christine Eldridge. Christine was born in Sri Lanka. On coming to England she studies at Chelsea School of Art. She has exhibited her flower paintings widely and has been awarded 3 Royal Horticultural Society Silver Medals.

Cost £45.00 per day. This includes morning coffee and biscuits and afternoon tea with homemade cake. Please bring a picnic lunch.
