Flower Painting in Watercolour for Beginners. Extra new date due to demand Saturday 25th September 2010
Christine Eldridge is here to run this day course for beginners & those with limited experience of the subject.
In a friendly & relaxed atmosphere we will start with drawing a basic composition followed by watercolour painting. Useful techniques, such as mixing tones & colours, painting overlapping washes & also defining detail, will be discussed & demonstrated. The aim is to complete a simple painting by the end of the day.
Materials required on request.
Cost: £40 to include morning tea/coffee & biscuits on arrival, afternoon tea/coffee & homemade cakes.
Please bring a picnic lunch, (hot drinks provided).
About the tutor:
Christine Eldridge trained as a textile designer at Chelsea School of Art. After a successful career as a designer she started specialising in painting flowers. She has exhibited her paintings at various galleries throughout the country, in addition to completing commisions here and abroad. Her work has been shown at the Society of Botanical Artists annual exhibition as well as the Royal Horticultural Society's exhibitions, where she has won the silver medal three times.
