Saturday 25th August 2012. 10.30am - 4pm.
Dwarf Bulbs and Alpines.
Jim Almond will be here to host this event.
During the morning we will take a seasonal look at the most popular bulbs and how to grow them - just pop them in at the right time, with minimal maintenance they will do their own thing! Fritillaria, Snowdrops, Erythronium, Crocus, Lilies and many more genera will be featured with tips for success and how to propagate them.
The afternoon session will feature Alpines in cultivation. Tracing their wild origins and on to suitable methods of cultivation in the garden, keeping them healthy and how to propagate them. Many individual genera such as Primulas, Lewisias and hardy Cyclamen will be included. Expect a riot of colour, some 'new' plants to enjoy and 'conversion' to alpines - they will be valuable additions to your garden given the right treatment!
Cost: £35.00 includes morning coffee and biscuits and afternoon tea and homemade cake. Please bring a picnic lunch.
